Global unbanked adults (2021)

Globally, 1.4 billion adults are unbanked, and 38 million Nigerian adults living in rural communities are among the 7 countries that make up half of the world’s unbanked population. This poses an opportunity for financial service providers to provide customised products and services, enhance digital financial literacy, and last-mile financial access points across the country.
