A 25-minute podcast discussion focused on the gender and urban/rural discrepancies in NIN (National Identity Number) enrolment and bank account ownership in Nigeria. Backed up by research data, in-field experiences and partner insights, this session will focus on the following:
- The link between identity and exclusion – particularly for vulnerable groups;
- Barriers to identity ownership, especially for women;
- How the ownership of Digital ID can move the needle for the financial inclusion of women; and
- What steps are being taken to address the identified barriers and accelerate the achievement of Nigeria’s financial inclusion targets?
